Today's Forecast

Fine and dry during the afternoon, but becoming increasingly breezy. Winds will continue to strengthen overnight, with outbreaks of light rain are possible after midnight. RSTs staying well above freezing. From around 0900 Wednesday morning a band of heavier and more persistent rain will spread in from the west, with strong winds bringing gusts around 50mph in exposure.

Wet and windy through the afternoon, with the rain heavy and persistent in places. Most of the rain will clear to the east during the evening and winds will ease, to leave the rest of the night mainly dry with just one or two showers. Any clear spells during the second half of the night will allow temperatures to fall quickly, but they are expected to stay above freezing. Thursday morning will then by dry with sunny spells.

Sunny spells and a few showers during the afternoon. The showers will clear during the evening to leave a dry and clear night with light winds. RSTs are expected to fall below freezing, bringing a risk of ice and hoar frost. Friday morning will remain dry, but it will become cloudier and windier by midday.

Friday afternoon will start dry, but wet and windy weather will gradually spread in from the west later in the day, before clearing away to the east on Saturday morning. Saturday should then be dry with sunny spells during the day, with a dry, clear and cold night following. More wet and windy weather then approaches from the west on Sunday morning.
