Robin Hood Energy undercuts competitors with new pay-as-you-go tariff

In anticipation of the start of a colder snap, the country’s first local authority-owned, licensed energy supplier, Robin Hood Energy, has launched a new prepayment tariff, Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG).

PAYG is one of the cheapest prepayment tariffs available on the market today. It is £77.65 cheaper than British Gas’s cheapest dual fuel medium user tariff and £125.23 cheaper than British Gas’s duel fuel economy 7 meter tariff.* PAYG is available to customers in England, Scotland and Wales.

Pay to Stay rents plan will bring more poverty says City Council

The Government proposals Pay to Stay: Fairer Rent in Social Housing could mean that households with an annual income of more than £30,000 would have to pay rents close to market level for council or housing association homes.

Parents reminded about Safer Sleep for babies this Christmas

Officials at Nottinghamshire County and Nottingham City councils have teamed up with the Lullaby Trust to remind families that risks increase significantly at this time of the year as routines change.

Across the country, 290 babies die suddenly and unexpectedly every year and many of these tragic events could be prevented if all parents followed evidence-based, safer sleep advice. In Nottingham City and across the county since 2009, 35 babies have died where unsafe sleeping has been a factor.
