Cloudy and mild this afternoon with patchy light rain and drizzle. The drizzle will give way to a spell of moderate to locally heavy rain as a cold front moves in from the west. This heavier rain is likely to start from about 1600, before clearing to the east by about 2100. The skies will clear and it will become much colder overnight with RST's falling close to or locally below freezing. There is a slight risk of some localised and short lived hoar frost developing towards the end of the night/start of the morning. It will be dry with lengthy spells of sunshine during Saturday morning. Moderate south-westerly winds this afternoon will become fresh to locally strong through the evening and veering westerly or north-westerly with the passage of the cold front. Gusts could approach 30-40mph between 1600-2100. The winds then turning a little lighter overnight before picking up again later on Saturday morning.

After a wet start, another windy afternoon is expected on Sunday afternoon, with sunny spells and showers. Whilst these will ease into the evening, with a brief cooling period expected, a further area of rain and strong winds is expected late in the night and on Monday morning which will keep RSTs well above freezing.

Outbreaks of rain will clear through the afternoon, perhaps leading to some clear spells overnight. Winds are also likely to become lighter than recently. However thicker cloud will soon return from the southwest, with further outbreaks of rain, leading to RSTs remaining above freezing.

Tuesday will be another windy afternoon with bands of rain crossing the area. The night is expected to be mild with RSTs staying well above freezing.
