We are looking to recruit Family Support Workers (Level One) who have experience of working with children and would like to make a positive difference to families who are in need of support, through providing a range of high quality play and focused sessions.

The role requires the ability to work as part of a very motivated Early Help Team to improve outcomes for children.

You will be expected to deliver sessions from different community based settings and be able to monitor and measure the impact of intervention using a variety of evaluation tools. You will need to be able to plan and review sessions in line with the areas of learning for children using the EYFS and Every Child Matters, developmental milestones, local targets and national indicators.

You will have the ability to deliver sessions in partnership with other agencies and professionals, to drive local and nation initiatives forward and develop new projects in the area. You will have the ability to model good practice to parents, carers, volunteers and students.

You will be expected to promote the services of the Children's Centre to families and agencies, think creatively how to engage families from target groups and have a good understanding of the needs of the community that will be reflected in your delivery.

You will be enthusiastic and have a genuine passion for working with children and supporting parents to engage with services and access provision that will support their child's development and wellbeing.

You will be able to identify any risks or concerns about any individual and report this to the Manager/Specialist in line with current safeguarding and other relevant policies and procedures. You will be expected to contribute to support plans that may be in place for children and work together with parents and agencies to set goal/actions for children's development and emotional well-being. You will undertake further training in play, learning, and safeguarding and child protection.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1) A practical knowledge of understanding of child development and the needs of children, young people and families.

2) Ability to organise and implement play and learning activities relevant to the needs of children and families

3) Experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and adults, from a variety of backgrounds, in an outcome focused way.

4) An understanding of safeguarding issues and knowledge of legislation, policy and procedures.

An enhanced DBS check will be required for this post.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement manager to join Nottingham City Council's Highways service area.

You will be highly motivated and have demonstrable experience of highway contract management from contact preparation to successful contract delivery.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the leading on the successful delivery of contracts often worth between £5 to £15 million per annum, in line with the service strategy.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Finance as part of the newly reorganised Finance Service you will lead a team delivering excellence in the provision of financial information.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to lead, manage and develop the Transactional Finance Team to deliver high quality financial information that meets the needs of our customers as they embrace a commercial approach to service delivery.

The role will require you to develop lean and effective month end processes that enable our service managers to undertake their own budget forecasting. You will also be the relationship manager for our shared service provider for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- CCAB qualified Accountant or equivalent with the ability to demonstrate clear budget management competencies with a detailed knowledge of budget systems, monitoring and financial standards.

- Clear track record of successful team development, developing others by creating a culture of innovation and achievement. Set the direction of service change and pursue opportunities both internally and with other organisations to aid modernisation of the service.

- Ability to manage multiple programmes concurrently and maintain high standards of performance establishing a performance management culture, including service planning, target setting, performance appraisals and the management of different staff groups.

JOB SUMMARY:

Nottingham City Council is expanding its offer of Multisystemic therapy interventions for families in the city and is looking to recruit an experienced clinical supervisor and manager to lead the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) standard team.  

Multisystemic Therapy is an evidenced based intervention which is community based and directed at older children, teenagers and their families. The approach is targeted at those families in which the young person is at risk of coming into care or custody and aims to prevent family breakdown, reduce offending and improve educational outcomes. You will supervise a team of four therapists providing MST.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the MST programme, both locally and nationally and add to the continuing development of Evidence Based Programmes across England. Duties include liaison with key collaborating agencies, ensuring fidelity to the MST model, providing ongoing evaluation and staff development for therapists, interfacing with MST expert consultants and providing overall programme management of the MST team.

You must be available to be part of an on call rota to support therapists implementing MST 24-hours per day, 7 days per week alongside other agency supervisory staff. Specific experience in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Structural / Strategic Family Therapy and other behaviourally focused evidence based interventions. Significant clinical supervisory-level experience preferred. You will have a post-graduate qualification in psychology or other allied registered profession e.g. Social work, mental health nursing or equivalent

Ongoing Personal and Professional Development

Full training and continuous professional development in the MST model will be provided.

There will be close links with other MST teams nationally for advice and support and regular booster training sessions.

There is also an MST consultant that provides ongoing skills training and consultation to the team.

The SBP will oversee the stewardship of Children, Adults and Schools work across NCC to influence strategy and business outcomes, collaborating with managers to further policy goals, offer expert analysis and interpretation, presenting options, resolve problems, exploit commercial opportunities and support informed financial decision-making.

They will provide strategic leadership to a team of Commercial Business Partners who will:
Advise on business planning, ensuring robust business cases are established and monitored, manage appropriate grant processes, financial options appraisals and due diligence. Support the financial objectives of the departmental business plans and budget process.

The SBP will ensure financial regulations, the constitution and legislative requirements are adhered to and agreed internal audit actions are implemented.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Significant experience of providing financial support and advice to a wide range of services in a large and complex organisation and of influencing  the financial strategy direction of a range of services demonstrating clear budget management competencies with a detailed knowledge of budget systems, monitoring and financial regulations.

Ability to set the direction of service change and pursue opportunities both internally and externally to aid modernisation of services.

Qualified member of CCAB or equivalent with diverse experience at a senior level within a local authority setting.

Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills, inspire, motivate and lead by personal example. To have clear track record of successful team development, developing others by creating a culture of innovation and achievement.
