A band of a wintry mix of rain, sleet, and snow will then move in from the north by 0300, accompanied by very strong winds. This clears to sunshine and isolated showers in the east through Saturday morning. Minimum RSTs minus 0.5.

It will remain cold and windy during Saturday afternoon, although it should stay dry, with good spells of sunshine. Winds will be easing overnight, with clear skies allowing a widespread frost and patches of ice to form, with RSTs falling below freezing. A band of cloud and showery rain will move south-eastwards overnight into Sunday morning. Cloud and rain will clear away to the southeast, with brighter skies and scattered showers following on behind from the northwest. Minimum RSTs minus 1.

Sunday

There will be a mixture of sunny spells and scattered rain showers during Sunday afternoon. Any showers will tend ease as the day progresses, which will leave a dry night, with clear skies developing for many, allowing RSTs to fall below freezing, leading to a widespread frost with icy surfaces possible. A chilly and bright start to Monday morning, with frost and ice patches likely. Minimum RSTs minus 1.

After a dry and bright start to Monday, cloud will be increasing from the north-west, which will bring a return to milder conditions, with outbreaks of rain and fresh south-westerly winds overnight into Tuesday. Rain will clear away to the southeast Tuesday morning, with brighter skies and scattered showers following on behind, with a cooler and fresher north-westerly wind. There will be a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers into Wednesday morning, with a cool and brisk north-westerly wind. Minimum RSTs plus 4.
