Nottingham has a distinct sense of place. It’s somewhere different and is steeped in a unique, fascinating and sometimes rebellious past. The diversity of the city’s heritage is its strength and its history of growth, adaptation, entrepreneurial spirit and development has helped establish its status, creating a city full of vitality and confidence – an enticing place with a ‘buzz’ where people want to live, work, study and visit.

But the city is ambitious to continue to develop and grow its economy.  We will harness the potential of our heritage to support regeneration and create great places.  Our recently adopted Heritage Strategy reflects our aspirations and the value that we see in the city’s heritage.

As our Heritage Strategy Officer, you will lead and be key to the success of the Strategy, recognising and developing opportunities to help meet our ambitions, building relationships and working closely with partners, collaborating and generating even more enthusiasm and enhancing the city’s reputation for heritage led regeneration. With relevant experience within the heritage sector and a successful track record of partnership working and innovation.

You will bring your passion and enthusiasm to help Nottingham understand, celebrate and capitalise on its heritage.
