Schools in Nottingham are bucking the national trend in overall absence, there has been a drop in figures but the national average has increased, meaning the city is narrowing the gap.
Overall Nottingham has moved up the league table going from 147th to 120th out of 151 Local Authorities. The biggest drop is in unauthorised absence, which is down 17%

Ten thousand Nottingham families who faced social and economic disadvantage have benefited from a ‘family learning’ programme in Nottingham over the last 12 years.
