Nottingham Christmas Lights Switch-On

Friday 20 November, Old Market Square

 

See Nottingham light up as the Christmas Lights are switched on! Join us from 5:30pm for a fun-filled evening featuring live music, street theatre and entertainment from Gem 106's Sam and Amy. Plus, explore the new Winter Wonderland Christmas Market.

Diwali Celebrations: 14 and 15 November

 

 

Saturday 14 November 3pm - 8pm at Nottingham Lakeside Arts / Highfields Park

Wrap up warm and join in with the fun at Nottingham Lakeside Arts, including FREE music and dance performances, a parade of light and a fire installation. 

Chotto Desh will also be on at 3pm and 7pm - a compelling tale of a young man’s dreams and memories from Britain to Bangladesh, this production is for children aged 7 and up and their families. Tickets are £8.50.

Sunday 15 November 10am - 3pm at New Art Exchange

Visit New Art Exchange for a day of FREE live music and dance, including Indian classical recitals and South Indian dancer Anaya, plus a sitar and tabla recital. Admission is free, but you must book tickets here. Plus, enjoy a variety of special Diwali treats.

Being Human Festival 12 - 22 November


There's so much on in Nottingham to celebrate the Festival of the Humanities, with a focus on creative Nottingham. 

There are FREE events on offer focusing on poetry, language, photography and much more. 

Plus, don't miss FREE tours at the Theatre Royal, an urban smell walk of Nottingham's caves or a DH Lawrence themed guided walk and creative writing workshop.
