ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

You will be a qualified professional (CQSW, DipSW, CSS) with HCPC registration, have completed your NQSW year and be experienced in working with children and families.

Proven experience of court work, as well as undertaking in-depth assessments, preparing high quality reports and presenting them in a formal setting is required as is your ability to manage child protection cases.

Possession of a full driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel both inside and outside the council area as required is needed .An enhanced DBS check will also be required.

Fixed Term for One year – Full Time

The Operations Officer role within the Parking Team is to provide an effective and efficient parking service at the City Council operated car parks and across the on-street parking provision within the city whilst also providing and maintain a mobile support service from the central parking hub at Trinity Square through the monitoring and operating of all parking equipment, responding to needs at multiple locations to ensure ongoing continuity of service.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to work under pressure in situations that may become confrontational

• Able to respond quickly to change and the introduction of new processes as the service expands

• Able to demonstrate initiative, take action and make decisions within own level of authority

• Able to follow direction and processes

To support Nottingham City schools/academies in meeting the needs of and raising the attainment of vulnerable groups of pupils, working closely with LA colleagues and reporting to the Senior Achievement Consultant in the Achievement of Vulnerable Groups team.

Provide and organise both central and school-based in-service training and professional development opportunities related to EAL/ethnic minority achievement. 

Act as the link Achievement Consultant for a number of maintained schools.

Provide advice and support to Head teachers and senior leaders helping to develop effective policies, plans and approaches that will enhance the achievement of EAL/ethnic minority pupils.

Maintain knowledge of latest research, strategies and materials relating to EAL/equalities and disseminate the findings to schools.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- QTS - Qualified Teacher Status 

- Proven ability and successful experience of working with senior staff in schools to provide positive challenge and to effect/implement change. 

- Understanding of and empathy with the experience of EAL/ethnic minority pupils within British schools and successful experience of curriculum development to enhance inclusion (developing classroom approaches and promoting positive relationships between pupils and between pupils/teachers).

- Good communication and facilitation skills, the ability to raise awareness of the experiences of EAL/ethnic minority pupils and also to provide positive challenge, advice and support for school staff.

This post is subject to a DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity.

To support the Bidding and Funding Unit Manager in researching and preparing bid applications to secure funding streams for strategic economic growth projects and business support projects across the Nottingham City area, and in partnership with our local partners.

The post holder will work closely with colleagues across the City Council working on economic growth and business support projects and with partners to develop joint bids.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT:

- Experience of the public sector funding environment including experience of EU funding

- Experience of bid writing

- Excellent communication skills

- Adept at partnership working

Fixed Term for 24 months

The Council is seeking to recruit an experienced commercial property lawyer with extensive experience of regeneration projects to work within its Property and Conveyancing Team.

The role will mainly involve advising on sales and purchases of commercial property (both leasehold and freehold) but may also include some residential matters where site assembly is required. Many of the transactions will be high value and high profile and will require an ability to deal with officers at all levels of the Council. You will also need to be able to handle landlord and tenant matters as well as advise on property law generally.

The successful candidate will be experienced across all aspects of commercial property matters and able to handle a caseload of complex matters without supervision.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Qualified Solicitor.

- Highly experienced in all aspects of Property, Landlord and Tenant law.

- An ability to deal with councillors and officers at all levels of the organisation.

- Good negotiating and drafting skills.
