Sector Based Work Academies (sbwa)
Have you ever heard the term sbwa and wondered what it meant?
sbwa is an abbreviation for Sector-Based Work Academy. If you are seeking employment, an sbwa can provide you with the skills employers are looking for in a particular sector. They also help to improve your confidence and job prospects, as well as looking good on your CV. This will increase your chances of getting a job with the host employer, or other employers offering similar work. Sector-based work academies can last up to 6 weeks and are made up of:
pre-employment training
a work experience placement
a guaranteed job interview
If you're interested in attending an sbwa to improve your chances of employment then talk to your Work Coach. Alternatively, we advertise Sector-based Work Acadmies in each edition of Nottingham Jobs Newsletter and on the Nottingham Jobs Event Page.
