To be responsible for dealing with Council Tax administration and Recovery queries, primarily over the phone but also serving citizens face to face and via correspondence.

To accurately administer Council Tax and maximise collection through a variety of debt collection methods.

This is primarily a customer service role based on telephone services

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

 1. A basic knowledge of the legislation in relation to the council tax administration & recovery

2. Ability to manage customer contact and call control effectively to ensure the customer’s needs are met whilst minimising call duration.

3. Ability to show initiative in responding to the customer requirements and taking measures to ensure that work is dealt with through to resolution.

4. Knowledge of customer care practices and procedures

We are seeking to appoint an MST CAN clinical support worker who has experience of working effectively with families in a community based setting, preferably families with complex presenting needs, e.g. child protection, mental health or substance abuse.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

You will be able to evidence some experience in engaging hard to reach families. You will be able to gain a clear overview of complex issues and quickly identify possible courses of action based on sound analysis of the information. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barring List Check (regulated activity with Children)
