To provide safe and appropriate personalised care and support to citizens in a way that maintains their dignity, maximises independence and gives them choice and control over the way their care is provided including providing mobility assistance where required. This may mean using a hoist, manual handling equipment, pushing a wheelchair or offering physical assistance when required.

You will undertake personal care tasks in a respectful caring manner, while realising the need for citizens to maintain their dignity. Improve health and wellbeing, safeguarding vulnerable adults. 

The post holder will be responsible for caring for residents which is fundamental in ensuring the quality of service to older people / vulnerable adults ensuring citizens get appropriate care as part of their identified needs and continuity of service is not compromised.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Experience of supporting with personal care to a high standard;

- Experience of supporting citizens who have ways of expressing themselves that may be regarded as challenging;

- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately orally and in writing;

- Understanding and knowledge of what constitutes abuse and how to safeguard people.

Working Pattern:

20 hours on Shifts between 8.30am to 9.30pm. Shift patterns will be 8.30am to 1.30pm, 9.00am to 2.00pm, 4.00pm to 9.00pm, 4.30pm to 9.30pm. All on rota basis with a degree of flexibility.

- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately orally and in writing;

- Understanding and knowledge of what constitutes abuse and how to safeguard people.

Working Pattern: 22.50 hours worked on Monday, Thursday and Friday (7.50 hours each day) with a degree of flexibility.

JOB SUMMARY:

This role will play a key part in providing information governance assurance for Nottingham City Council. You will be a point of contact for information rights advice to colleagues at all levels (i.e. FOI, DP, EIR, Human Rights Acts); you will also be responsible for providing advice on sharing and disclosure of personal and non-personal information, preparing material for disclosure under court orders, and liaising with the Information Commissioner’s Office when necessary.

This role will also contribute to the management of overall information assurance by assisting with the development of the information assurance framework, carrying out monitoring and auditing activities, and training team members and other colleagues.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Extensive knowledge and experience of fulfilling duties associated with information rights legislation in a large multi-disciplinary organisation.

2. Ability to communicate at all levels, including experience of providing practical and strategic data protection advice to staff and partners.

3. Experience of carrying out data breach investigations, and complaint handling and resolution.

4. Experience of handling a large and varied workload, and able to work in an environment that is often under pressure of competing deadlines and priorities.

As a Nottingham City Council Play and Youth worker you will be working as part of an area based team. You will be required to plan, deliver and evaluate exciting, fun and informative play and youth sessions and activities for young people aged 5-19yrs in a variety of centre based and detached settings. The role requires strong engagement skills, a passion and energy for working with young people and the ability to support young people’s development maintaining a balance between safety, risk and challenge. You will have an understanding of safeguarding practice and experience of keeping young people safe from harm. You will be required to work evenings and weekends.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• An understanding of the importance of delivering good quality play and youth work which is planned, delivered and evaluated to a high standard to meet children and young people’s needs.

• Ability to engage and involve children and young people in decision making about activities, issues, initiatives and services.

• Excellent practical understanding of equality and diversity issues and how they affect different sections of the community with a strong focus on children and young people

• The commitment to working evenings and weekends

To be responsible for supporting all aspects of procurement activity within a category management structure.To provide a procurement support to the procurement team to deliver effective procurement, with a focus on improving quality, maximising savings, increasing spend with local suppliers and increasing targeted employment and training opportunities.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Knowledge of tendering procedures including EC legislation and Local Government Financial Regulations and how these relate to procurement.

- Ability to use Microsoft Access and Excel to produce reports and evaluate data.

-Ability to analyse complex information, including numerical data.

- Ability to use own initiative; make daily decisions relating to the procurement contracts and other procurement issues and to be able to work to strict timescales.
