VICTORIA

To provide for the safe supervision of all customers using the swimming pools and other areas of the centre.

To provide a high standard of cleanliness and safe facility for customers to enjoy/play the appropriate activity or sport. 

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the facility, checking and cleaning on a regular basis. Ensuring correct records are kept of these checks. 

Act as a point of contact for customers, dealing with enquiries and minor complaints. 

Controlling access to pools and to any other facility or equipment.  Observe the proper use and safe operation of any pool, activity area or service to the customer. 

Control behavior of customers either directly or through any hirer.  Understand and follow safety codes of practice, safety instructions and emergency procedures.

To attend training sessions and practice on a regular basis, all personal skills in first aid. CPR resuscitation, swimming fitness. Operation of resuscitation and rescues, emergency procedures.

To ensure a record of skills and training is outlined in a personal record.

To perform rescues and administer to the immediate needs of people in difficulty.

To be readily available as a member of a team to provide cover and assistance as volume of usage changes and activities change.

To provide leadership and supervision of activities.

To check, set up, break down and store equipment as necessary within manual handling guidelines.

To perform other duties within capabilities as directed including cover for holidays and sickness and in other areas of the centre when required.

To adhere to Health and Safety guidelines.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 - Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

 - Able to work shifts and flexible hours to cover for the needs of the service.

 - Ability to carry out cleaning duties and to maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.

 - Ability to record basic information accurately on checklists and other corporate forms

 - Ability to deal with general customer enquiries in a pleasant manner.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement manager to join Nottingham City Council's Highways service area.

You will be highly motivated and have demonstrable experience of highway contract management from contact preparation to successful contract delivery.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the leading on the successful delivery of contracts often worth between £5 to £15 million per annum, in line with the service strategy.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- A strong understanding of the procurement environment and sound knowledge of the application and the impact of EU Procurement Directives.

- Good communication both verbal and written with a strong level of literacy and numeracy.

- Highly organised individual, both of self and individuals with the ability to think in advance.

- Willing, enthusiastic and flexible in their approach.

To support the commercial & visitors areas of the heritage sites and museums of Nottingham Castle, Wollaton Hall and Newstead Abbey.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Experience & ability of stock control procedures.

- Experience of display & merchandising skills

- Experience of effectively supervising staff on a daily basis.

- Knowledge / experience of issues regards to museums, heritage sites, historic parks.
