JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Strategic Director of Organisational Transformation, the HR Business Partner provides support to the business to develop and implement strategic HR and transformation initiatives. As the primary contact for the Senior Leadership Teams for a portfolio of business units within the Council you will commission activities to enable innovation and business change that is aligned to the strategic aims of Department and the Council overall. You will provide support to departmental business planning, departmental performance and service design in addition to the core HR disciplines of employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment and development. In addition you will participate in cross cutting corporate programmes to support organisational transformation and achievement of key aspects of the Council Plan.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Experience of developing positive relationships with key stakeholders including Trade Unions, senior leadership teams, employees and external partners

2. Able to influence senior leadership teams, elected members and managers to undertake appropriate courses of action and contribute to departmental strategy.

3. Experience of successfully developing and managing complex change projects and programmes to improve service delivery and deliver objectives

4. Able to lead and motivate other, giving clear direction and modelling the values and competencies of the Council
