Nottingham Parklives

Summer Family Fun day on Wednesday 12 Aug at Forest Recreation Ground, 10am to 4pm. Activities include fun inflatables, wacky races, taster sessions in yoga, dance, tai chi and many more. Lots of sporting opportunities including tennis, table tennis, netball, golf and cycling. Plus take a tour of the brand new Forest Sports Zone and play footie on the fantastic rubber crumb pitch!

The Beach The Beach has returned to Old Market Square this summer until Tuesday 1 September, packed with entertainment for the whole family plus all the traditional rides and games of the seaside for 2015. Caribbean Carnival

The Nottingham Caribbean Carnival returns on Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 August on the Forest Recreation Ground and Victoria Embankment, Nottingham.

Saturday 22 August - Forest Recreation Ground
FREE music festival from 12noon. Open to the public with live music, stalls, food and cultural artefacts until 9pm.

Sunday 23 August - Victoria Embankment
Community-led carnival parade with hundreds of colourful costumes dancing through the streets of Nottingham (new route being explored).

Wollaton Park Food and Drink Festival  

The Nottingham Food and Drink Festival on August 15 and 16 is back! Now in its second year after a phenomenal 2014 the event is even bigger and better than before. 

There is plenty of food stalls and demonstrations and lots of fun activities to keep the kids entertained!

Newstead Abbey Food and drink festival

Newstead Abbey 29/30/31 August 2015 

Watch a host of celebrity chefs with daily cooking demonstrations, there are also demonstrations by local food producers from cheese and wines to bakers and butchers.

You will find plenty of activities to keep children entertained from face painting, pizza making, shows and a whole host of rides.

Outdoor Theatre NEW event added! Theatre Royal Concert Hall 150th Anniversary - HOOD

On Friday 25 September 2015, the Theatre Royal Nottingham will celebrate its 150th anniversary. To mark this historic event a special programme of anniversary celebrations has been planned to celebrate the venue's past, present and future

HOOD - The Legend Continues, with its roots firmly set in Nottinghamshire, will premiere at the Theatre Royal Nottingham on Thursday 17 September for a two-week run, commissioned exclusively to celebrate the theatre's 150th anniversary year.
