Nottingham City Council's award-winning Communications and Marketing Team is seeking a talented and hard-working individual with an proven track-record to join our team as a Communications and Marketing Officer.

The Communications and Marketing Officer will deliver campaigns for a range of exciting Sports and Cultural initiatives in Nottingham, including:

- The Aegon Open Nottingham, an international tennis tournament featuring some of the world's top 20 players.

- The £24m transformation of Nottingham Castle - the most significant heritage regeneration project in the UK today.

- The promotion of popular heritage sites, Wollaton Hall and Newstead Abbey, as well as a range of events and festivals.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

-  A proven track record of planning, delivering and evaluating marketing and communications campaigns; meeting and exceeding targets, with a customer-focused approach and excellent project management skills.

-  Up-to-date experience of the full range of above and below the line activity, including: advertising, PR, design and print, direct marketing, digital marketing (including social media), sales promotions, copywriting, and market research and evaluation.

-  Strong media-handling skills and experience, both proactive and reactive.

-  The ability to build strong, professional working relationships with internal clients and with partner organisations.

Fixed Term for 12 months 

The purpose of the role is to hold operational responsibility for the management, accuracy and currency of the data held in the Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) and Local Street Gazetteer (LSG), providing data analysis and extracts and advising on it’s dissemination and use within the Council. In addition the role has responsibility for the statutory Street Naming and Numbering function for Nottingham City Council.

Essential Requirements

1) Detailed knowledge and understanding of BS7666 and Data Entry Conventions for LLPG and preferably LSG

2) High level of working awareness, knowledge and understanding of Street Naming and Numbering legislation e.g. the Public Health Act 1925 and the ability to keep up to date with new guidance

3) High level of knowledge of database systems, principles, concepts and terminology and experience of working with large volumes of data and spatial information

4) Excellent awareness and knowledge of business processes that support the Address Management function
