The Electoral Register will be used in future by Nottingham City Council as a simpler way for people to prove they live in the city when residency is required to use certain services.
The change, due to be implemented from 1 September, should also mean more people join the electoral register and are therefore able to vote in elections and referendums.
Nottingham’s Old Market Square will once again being transformed into an urban beach, from Thursday 23 July– Tuesday 1 September 2015.
The Beach attracts thousands of families, visitors and tourists from across Britain to the city and offers local people the chance to enjoy the seaside without leaving Nottingham.
Nottingham parents and their purses will be spared this summer as Nottingham ParkLives launches hundreds of new FREE summer activity sessions in local parks, with families encouraged to try their hand at everything from Zumba to Tai Chi.
Sessions will be held between 10am and 7pm every day of the summer holiday across 20 community parks.
