Calling All Newly Qualified Social Workers


Nottingham City Council is proud of the positive impact we have on the lives of children and young people in the city and we’re looking to invite Newly Qualified Social Workers to join Children’s Social Care team. If you have recently qualified, we would like to invite you to apply for one of our jobs designed to support the best new talent in social work to be a part of our friendly teams.
In post as a Children’s Social Worker you will undertake a full range of social work duties to include: duty and screening work, assessment, child protection, court, children in care, and engaging with partner agencies. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative, drawing on your social work skills/training to progress complex cases and contribute to achieving overall team goals. High quality child-centred services will be your key focus and your assessment skills will be strong. You will be committed to team working and sharing learning.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS


- An enhanced DBS check for a regulated activity will be required for this post.

- You will also need to be willing to register with the HCPC.

- Qualifications: Recognised Social Work Qualification.
