Splendour Festival
Are you ready for Splendour Festival 2015? It's less than a week until
The Specials, James, Bananarama and many more great acts will be joining us at
Wollaton Park!
Outdoor Theatre season is back! Enjoy exceptional performances for all
the family in the stunning grounds of Nottingham Castle, Newstead Abbey and
Wollaton Hall from July to August 2015.
The Riverside
Festival is Nottingham's biggest free festival weekend offering three days
of family entertainment. It is a unique and fun festival covering one mile
along the banks of the River Trent, at Victoria Embankment, adjacent to Trent
Bridge.

Organised by the Tennis Foundation, the
British Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships is one of six Super Series events
on the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour and one of the most important tournaments
in the world outside of the Grand Slams. The Championships will be taking place 14 - 19 July at the Nottingham Tennis Centre.
Join Lakeside on a uniquely Nottingham yellow brick road to
meet Scarecrow, Dorothy, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion in this musical sensation.
The world-famous story of Oz is being relocated to downtown Nottingham in the
early 70s, when Northern Soul was the greatest dance, music and style craze in

is excited to bring ParkLives to 20 of its parks and open spaces in 2015.
ParkLives Nottingham will
provide a wide range of sport and physical activities in some of Nottingham
City’s award-winning parks, helping the community to get active. It doesn’t
matter what your age, sex or ability, we aim to provide an activity for everyone
to come and have a go. More importantly, everything is FREE!
On Friday 25 September 2015, the Theatre Royal Nottingham
will celebrate its 150th anniversary. To mark this historic occasion, a programme of anniversary events has been
planned, including specially commissioned stage events, the theatre’s biggest
ever prize giveaway, a series of public Open Days and community activities,
commemorative tributes, an extensive archive project and a very special
birthday party.
Join Nottinghamshire County Council to celebrate this
year's legendry Robin Hood Festival within the magical setting of Sherwood
Forest.
This free fun filled weeklong festival has something for
all ages, with a wide variety of activities and entertainment, featuring:
Jousting, falconry, costumed characters, craft stalls and much more!
On 18 July 11am - 4pm Nottingham Castle
will play host to Archaeology Live! this summer, offering visitors an
opportunity to see real archaeology in action, meet experts and ask questions
about the on-site dig.
We will be taking over the grounds with
some fantastic medieval themed games, crafts, activities and displays; meet the
barber surgeon, have a go at medieval pot making and try your hand at archery,
plus much more! Normal castle admission applies.

could have the chance to take on a Team England hero and a legend of sport when
#TableTennisDay comes to Nottingham City Centre!
Thursday
16th July is the big day for celebrating the sport and getting involved – and
the main national event this year is in Smithy Row. The fun and games start from 11am. As well as a beat the celebrity
challenge, visitors can take on a robot or have a go at one of a host
of table tennis action games, spot the ball or design a bat competitions, with
great prizes up for grabs.
