In Nottingham City we are looking to expand our Adult Social Care workforce. 

We have a range of permanent and temporary opportunities for both newly qualified and experienced Social Workers to join our teams across the City. Social Worker salaries in Nottingham range from

Social Worker Level 1 Grade F £23,698 - £26,293 (newly qualified)

Social Worker Level 2 Grade G £27,123- £30,178 (ASYE, PQ Consolidation or Stage 1 Higher Specialist Award Mental Health)

Social Worker Level 3 Grade H £30,978- £34,746 (BIA or AMPH)

Various job opportunities available  

Job Type: Permanent – Part Time 

Hours range from 20 per week term time only to 30 per week all year long.

Hours varying between 7.30am to 9.30am and then returning at 3.00pm until 5pm to 7.30am to 11.00am and then returning at 3.00pm until 6pm.

Passenger Transport Service is a fast expanding service providing quality transport to the most vulnerable citizens of Nottingham.

Having doubled in size in the last 2 years, more opportunities have become available immediately for both drivers and escorts. There are also upcoming opportunities for August.

We care looking for people with experience in the caring sector to join us. Rates of pay are the highest in the sector and training is provided. The service works on split shifts transport children and adults form home in the morning and then returning in the afternoon to take them home. Drivers need the D1/D qualification to enable them to drive large 16 seater wheelchair accessible vehicle but there are a few vacancies for 9 seat vehicles which a car licence is needed.  An enhanced DBS is required.

This is an exciting time to join a growing service and to support the city where you live. 

The service transports a total of 600 vulnerable children and adults on a daily basis to schools and day centres.

To liaise with carers, parents, school and day centre staff and Passenger Transport Services to ensure any information is securely passed on, such as medication instructions or small amounts of cash.

To assist service users in boarding and leaving the vehicle calmly and safely, using a tail lift when appropriate and assisting with mobility aids and luggage as necessary. 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Must undergo and pass a DBS check and any other check required.

- To hold a minimum of a D1 driving licence.

- Must have an awareness of the communication needs and social interaction difficulties of children, older people, people with disabilities and adults and children with learning difficulties.

- Ability to respond to emergency situations calmly and to evaluate and report on any emergency situations which may arise.

• To provide flexible, responsive and caring support, escorting vulnerable service users on journeys provided by Passenger Transport Services, meeting all their individual needs.

• Services to ensure the needs of all passengers are communicated, understood and met at all times.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must undergo and pass a DBS check and any other check required.

• Have an awareness of the communication needs and social interaction difficulties of children, older people, people with disabilities and adults and children with learning difficulties.

• Ability to communicate verbally and face to face at all levels.
