Annualised Hours Contract, 1929 hours

You will have responsibility for the day to day supervision of the retail and admissions service at Wollaton Hall and Park. It calls for experience of retail/ business supervision and of buying, stock management and administrative systems. Weekend and school holiday working essential.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Retail Management in a heritage environment

- Marketing and merchandising skills

- Experience of computerised stock control system

- Clear customer focus and attention to detail

Nottingham City Council Fleet Services is seeking an inspirational Fleet Operations Manager to take the service from good to great. You will need significant experience of managing fleet operations driving compliance, efficiencies, and excellent customer service skills to both internal and external customers

This demanding role requires internal and external partnership working to support the management of the fleet operation and team.

The Council operates over 400 vehicles and 1000 items of plant and equipment supporting delivery of essential and high profile services including waste collection, street cleaning, highways construction and passenger transport.

The Fleet Services business has doubled in size in recent years and is poised for further expansion. As Fleet Operations Manager you will actively support us to build upon our significant commercial client base which includes Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service and Nottingham City Homes.

The successful candidate will play a leading role in managing the corporate fleet ensuring it is effectively utilised, procured according to service need, and maintained and operated efficiently and safely.

You will have experience of working within a successful fleet operation, managing budgets and have a background and qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent and a National CPC in Road Haulage for O licence requirements. We require excellent communication, organisation and motivation skills will be essential to galvanise a small team supporting our workshops. Modernising and implementing new systems of work as part of the change process within the Fleet Services Operation.
