ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

You will be a qualified professional (CQSW, DipSW, CSS) with HCPC registration, have completed your NQSW year and be experienced in working with children and families.

Proven experience of court work, as well as undertaking in-depth assessments, preparing high quality reports and presenting them in a formal setting is required as is your ability to manage child protection cases. 

Possession of a full driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel both inside and outside the council area as required is needed .An enhanced DBS check will also be required.

You will be a Qualified Social Worker (MA, BA (hons) or BSc (hons) Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, CSS) with HCPC registration, have completed your NQSW year and be experienced in working with children and families. Proven experience of court work, as well as undertaking in-depth assessments, preparing high quality reports and presenting them in a formal setting is required as is your ability to manage child protection and complex, multi-faceted child protection cases.  You will also be able to apply your significant knowledge and practice to guiding, supporting and mentoring other workers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to make a difference to the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families in NottinghamCity. You will be based in the Learning Support Team who provide advice and training to schools around the learning needs of pupils with SEND to promote inclusion and improve educational outcomes. You will have qualified teacher status and experience of working with children with SEND. You have a solution focused approach and good negotiation skills combined with the resilience and determination to secure the best possible provision for children with SEND. You will be able to write and communicate clearly and be able to develop good working relationships with young people, their families and a range of other professionals.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and dynamic Community Sport Development team. The role is to co-ordinate, assist and support the delivery of Community Sport Programmes and Projects that increase sport and physical activity participation for city residents in deprived communities and amongst key target groups delivering sessions as required. It will also involve supporting the identification and development of a range of new and exciting Community Sport Partnerships. To assist with the research and analysis of insight and knowledge from a number of internal and external organisations and to support the development of Community Sport Volunteering through recruitment, training and mentoring. 

Essential Requirements

- Experience of working within sport, community, leisure, physical activity, health or other specialist related field to increase participation, including delivering Sports Coaching sessions, delivering leadership or mentoring or managing/coordinating volunteers

- Proven organisational skills and the ability to co-ordinate a project, making recommendations for appropriate corrective action in order to meet targets, outcomes, key project milestones or delivery timescales

- Ability to communicate at a range of levels with a range of people e.g. verbally presenting a report in a meetings to senior managers; encouraging and mentoring community volunteers, talking with local residents about Community Sport opportunities.

- Ability and willingness to work with a flexible time table, including evenings and weekends, outside of normal hours and attend further training as required.

You must hold a current driving license and be willing to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check with Children’s barring list check (regulated activity with children)
