Armed Forces Weekend

A weekend of celebration and remembrance to honour our Armed Forces past and present. Come along to Wollaton Hall on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June 2015

This hugely popular weekend attracts thousands of people every year and is the flagship Armed Forces event for the East Midlands.

Afternoon Tea at Wollaton Hall

Great news for afternoon tea fans - Lazy Daisy now has a permanent tea room at Wollaton Hall where they will be serving homemade afternoon teas every Sunday between 12 - 4pm and Bank Holiday Mondays in the salon room.  

 Enjoy a delicious homemade tea served on vintage china in the lovely surroundings of the saloon room overlooking the gardens.

Women’s Running 5k and 10k is coming to Nottingham, Sunday 12 July

Lace up your trainers, rally your girlfriends and join hundreds of women on Nottingham Embankment on Sunday 12 July for the 2015 Women’s Running 5k and 10k Race Series, in association with This Girl Can.  

Hosting two races, 5k and 10k, the event welcomes women and girls of all abilities to run together along the off-road, beautifully serene Embankment.  Whether you’re looking for your first running event or you’re a seasoned runner hunting down a new Personal Best time, this race is a must for the diary.

With lots of picnic spots by the river and plenty of lovely restaurants close by, it’s a great location to bring your family along to cheer you along and enjoy a fun day out at the historic Trent Bridge.

Nottingham will once again celebrate and showcase the diverse talent of busking.   

Whether you are an experienced street performer, entertainer or musician or an exciting new talent, we want to hear from you. You are invited to perform and entertain the crowds at one of the BBC Big Busk points around the city between 11am and 4pm.
