Western Cycle Corridor open for consultation

The most exciting part of Nottingham City Council's proposed £6.1m Cycle City improvements is being planned and residents and businesses are invited to have their say.

Consultation began on Monday 10th August and will continue to run until the 24th August with the aim of beginning construction before Christmas.

Citycard Savings - Midland Railway Trust Ltd

Citycard holders can enjoy 2-4-1 entry with lots of things to see and do. Take a nostalgic trip on one of the heritage trains, explore the museums or take a walk in the country park.

Cllr McDonald

City Car Club!

Last month saw the launch of three new City Car Club hire sites; Queen's Drive Park and Ride, The Racecourse Park and Ride and The Forest Park and Ride.

Portfolio Holder for Jobs, Growth and Transport Councillor McDonald attended the launch stating "The City Car Club offers residents and businesses an option to use more sustainable cars in a flexible way to help reduce congestion and C02 emissions"

Castle Approach (Friar Lane) works

As part of the ERDF confirmed public realm works, Friar Lane between Castle Place and Maid Marian Way is being upgraded to a higher standard to improve walking for visitors.

Cycling for All

The next Cycling for All event is down at Queen's Drive Park and Ride on the 16th August 2015.

Ridewise, the Nottingham based cycling charity, carries out the events with the aim of inspiring more people to give cycling a go, no matter what their ability.

Save the date: European Mobility Week 2015 16th-22nd September

Hucknall Road/ Valley Road Roundabout resurfacing

The latest works taking place as part of the £16.2m Ring Road project to reduce congestion and delays begin with preparatory works which began on the 10th August 2015 continuing Monday-Friday with evening closures from 7pm-11pm.

Nottingham Pedal Powered Pilot EAPC

On the 24th July we submitted our bid to Car Plus for funding to introduce a fleet of electrically assisted pedal cycles across Nottingham.
