JOB SUMMARY: Full time call handler/Admin in C&F Duty team. The teams provide the first line of support for serious safeguarding issues in safeguarding children across Nottingham city. The post holders will be possibly the first point of contact for citizens and partner agencies making Childrens referrals. The post is permanent to provide effective delivery of appropriate services in safeguarding vulnerable children and their families according to their assessed needs. The post provides the successful candidates an interesting and very important role in safeguarding vulnerable children liaising with partner agencies & provider organizations whilst maintaining accurate & secure records & user information using IT systems in accordance with the Data Protection Act & having regard to the confidential nature of the work. - Operating a Macfarlane call handling system sign posting calls or checking databases whilst inputting and extracting accurate information on to message board in our Carefirst system. - Keyboard Skills and Administrate duties a must along with Diary management micro soft office photocopying scanning post handling and filing. - To liaise and communicate with other sections of the department and external agencies in connection with post holders work and administrative needs of the service. - To provide audio and copy typing word processing Excel Access and PowerPoint along with bespoke packages for the provision of statistical information and other reports. This post is the subject to a DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity.
