Fixed-term position initially until 31st March 2016 – awaiting further funding 

The work is City wide and therefore the candidate needs to be able to travel

To directly manage the Behaviour Support Team. To co-ordinate and facilitate team staff in delivering education services directly or indirectly for children with social emotional behaviour difficulties (SEBD). To contribute to whole service development as a member of the senior leadership team. To manage a strategic role within the LA and to maintain limited caseload responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Teaching degree or equivalent

- Management experience to include line management and performance management of staff

- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing

- Understanding of the principles of inclusive education

This post is subject to a DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity
