From healthcare products to trust and reliance: the expanded role of regulatory authorities in an era of global health perils

I am delighted to invite you personally to register for the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency 2016 annual lecture, which will be delivered by Dr Margaret Chan, Director-General of WHO:

“The world has changed dramatically since the start of this century, when quality assurance of individual products – like vaccines, medicines, and bednets – fuelled the drive for better health. Given the complexity of today’s threats to health, with chronic noncommunicable disease overtaking infectious disease, the emphasis has shifted to the building of trust and reliance between authorities for the regulatory control of medical products.”

The lecture will be followed by an opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with Dr Chan and agency directors. The evening will finish with a drinks reception.

There will be a high level of interest in this year’s lecture and I encourage you to register your attendance as soon as possible. This link provides more information about the event.

Yours sincerely,
