Big cost for fly-tipper
A fly-tipper who was caught on CCTV dumping a
sofa and a television set in Bramble Lane, Upminster, has to pay nearly £3,000.
Scott Pittom, 39, of 14 Elm Green, Pitsea,
pleaded guilty to fly-tipping at Barkingside Magistrates Court on Friday 7
August. He was fined £2320, with a £120 surcharge and £381.25 costs, a total of
£2821.25.

Recycling selfies are worth £3
Residents can also claim green points for recycling things at Bring
Banks including textiles, glass, paper, cans, plastic bottles and food and
drink cartons.
To claim 1,200 green points
(worth £3), residents will need to take a 'selfie' of themselves at the Bring
Bank with their recycling and tweet it to @RecycleLBH
using #greenpoints or post it on Havering’s
