Our contractors Balfour Beatty are making good progress on the A14 and M11 programme of essential works. The majority of works are being carried out as planned.

The recent heavy rain means we had to postpone works on the weekend of 30 and 31 January, on the M11 junction 13 northbound exit slip road.

Here's the current schedule of works that Balfour Beatty are carrying out on behalf of Highways England. Remember, schedules may change at short notice, for example due to bad weather.

A14 junction 32 to junction 33 eastbound

Resurfacing

Eastbound motorway traffic will be diverted off at junction 32 and turned around to head west to Girton, exiting the A14 to the M11 south. Take the M11 south to junction 10, exiting the M11 and heading east on the A505, joining the A11 north to the A14 junction 36 where the diversion ends.

Eastbound local traffic will be diverted off at junction 32 and then south on the B1049 turning left on to Kings Hedges Road, heading east to the A1309 Milton Road. North on Milton Road to the A14 junction 33 for the A10 north.

Once complete, the work will result in a smoother and safer A14, better bridges, and clearer directions to Addenbrookes Hospital.
