It’s no small job

It's no small job

Ever wondered what we do at East Sussex Highways? We teamed up with local school children to show the different sorts of work we do. You can view the short video here: It’s no small job.

Winter

Gritters

Christmas may seem long gone but who knows how much longer the cold spell will last. We work around the clock to keep the East Sussex road network as clear and safe as possible. Our gritters are sent out to tackle the snow and ice and we clear fallen trees and branches. You can also do your bit by checking the weather before you set off on your journey and take a look at our guidance on what winter essentials you should carry with you.

Potholes

Potholes

Your online reports, emails and tweets helped us fix over 65,000 potholes in 2014. It’s now easier than ever to report a problem on the roads by using our new fix-my-street map. This allows you to upload pictures, see whether a pothole has already been reported and track the repair.

Planned road works

Claremont Rise

Last year we resurfaced over 400 roads to prevent potholes appearing. This year, we have an extensive programme of planned road works. Find out more about our resurfacing programme for 2015.

Want to know what road works are happening near where you live? You can check out our roadworks map and set up alerts for your local area.
