Ken Parr, Head of Music Services at Babcock LDP has asked us to draw your attention to the greater emphasis for future inspections, on breadth of curriculum. The report identifies music as being part of a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum. The breadth and balance of a provider's curriculum will be judged as part of the effectiveness of leadership and management.
Thank you to all those schools who have returned the
Safeguarding Audit. Babcock LDP is currently in the process of collating these
for a report for the DSCB.
However, there are a small number
outstanding and, given that the deadline for return was 31 December 2014, those
schools which have not returned their audit will be shortly be contacted by the
Chair of the DSCB and asked to explain, in writing, why they have failed to
return a completed audit.

LA Maintained Schools can access the model Medication Policy via OSHENS on-line web-site - log-in details should be held in all LA Maintained Schools. OSHENS should also be used to report the more serious types of accidents.
