DAPH Members Survey

Message from DAPH Chair

Devon Association of Primary Headteachers (DAPH) has been established for a number of years but with the ongoing and far-reaching changes to the education landscape, the current DAPH Executive Committee has recognised the need to review the aims and work of the Association going forward. This will ensure that DAPH continues to provide to its membership a valued and effective resource which is responsive to the needs of school leaders and emerging systems within the sector.

To this end the DAPH Executive Committee is pleased to announce that, following a tendering process with a number of local law firms, it has appointed Michelmores LLP to work in partnership with the Association. Initially this will involve working with the Executive Committee to undertake a Strategic Review of DAPH’s business activities now and in the future to include the core work with the LA as well as its other business activities. Alongside this, over the next 12 months, we aim to develop a working partnership with Michelmores which will not only support the Executive in developing and delivering an ongoing strategy for DAPH but also enable us to offer an attractive package of services and benefits to the membership available through the firm’s dedicated, specialist Education Team.

As the first stage of the strategic review we would welcome views from our members as to their views of DAPH in terms of the services and support it presently offers to Devon’s primary headteachers. Some of you may not currently engage with all aspects of our work, others will be very familiar with what is available and regularly look to DAPH to support them in their leadership role.

We are keen to hear from everybody in order that we can establish what is currently valued and effective, where we could work differently or do better and more importantly where gaps may exist in the DAPH offering or indeed other providers within the education marketplace.

Your feedback is important to us. Please take a few minutes of your time to complete the short SURVEY and help us to consider how DAPH can continue to provide a valuable service to school leaders going forward. Closing date for responses: 22 February 2016 at 5pm.

Thank you.
