School Crossing Patrol Consultation Launched

A consultation reviewing how school crossing patrols should be funded and provided in the county is being launched by Devon County Council.

We should be grateful if you would collectively agree and submit one response to the following survey on behalf of your school:

http://surveys.devon.gov.uk/s/SCPSchoolsQ2015/

The authority is exploring ways to maintain the Service while looking to save £250,000 from the Service’s budget in the coming financial year. It is part of £110 million of savings required over the next four years. A press release is available at https://www.devonnewscentre.info/, which will include information and a link to a public survey in which parents can participate.

Please do send the link for the press release (www.devonnewscentre.info) to parents with children attending your school, so that they can also contribute their individual views.

The consultation closes on 8 January 2016.  The results will be used to inform a report to Cabinet early in 2016, at which time we would anticipate a decision about the future of the Service to be made.
