School performance tables – an alternative approach

Headteacher unions ASCL and NAHT, together with United Learning (an independent school and academy group) and PiXL (specialists in raising education standards), have set up a website showing alternative performance tables for schools.

A key difference between these and the Department for Education’s tables is that they include all GCSE results, not just the first entry. An updated version of the website was launched over the summer, and there is now also the option for schools to upload information about their extracurricular activities, ethos and facilities. The school’s profile will also now link to Ofsted’s Parent View and give pupils the chance to leave comments, to which the school can respond.

Schools which upload this information to the website will receive a personalised report. The website is free to use and schools can sign up here.
