Review of Tidal Lagoons

Tidal Wave

The Government announced an independent review into the feasibility and practicality of tidal lagoon energy in the UK.

Tidal lagoons have the potential to provide the country with clean and secure energy, but more work is needed to determine whether they present value for money.

Starting this spring, the review will establish an evidence base to ensure all decisions made regarding tidal lagoon energy are in the best interest of the UK.

Power to Switch Campaign

PTS

On February 16 DECC launched the third phase of our Power to Switch campaign encouraging consumers to save money by switching to a better deal with a new energy supplier or tariff, and in turn increasing competition in the energy market.

Running until 23 March 2016, the overall campaign aims are to encourage people to switch energy suppliers and save money, raise awareness of Government action to make the switching process simpler and easier, and encourage energy consumers to visit www.BeAnEnergyShopper.com

Our partners are also supporting the campaign, providing us with a much greater potential reach.
