Christmas Recipe
Did you know

Roast Parsnips and Sweet Potatoes

Serves 6

Calories per serving: 157

 

 

You will need:

  • 600g parsnips
  • 600g sweet potatoes
  • 2 vegetable stock cubes
  • salt and pepper

 

1. Peel the vegetables and chop into equal sizes.

2. Boil the parsnips and sweet potatoes separately in water with the stock cubes until slightly tender (not quite fully cooked).

3. Drain the vegetables and place on a non-stick baking tray.

4. Spray the vegetables very lightly with olive oil spray and roast on a medium heat until golden brown.

So why not get a kick start with a one to one appointment with a Wellbeing Advisor?

 

Firstly have a go on our body composition scales to find out your hydration levels, metabolic rate and fat percentage. Then discuss your results and go through some suggestions for how you can improve them.

 

If you have already had a Wellbeing Check with us and would like another you are always welcome to come back. We suggest about a 3 month gap between appointments.

Many of us overindulge with alcohol over the Christmas party period so we have come up with some seasonal Mocktails for you to try. Whether you are the designated driver, want to cut back a little bit or just want to try something different; have a go at making this warming suggestion:

Wellbeing at your GP Surgery

Wellbeing at your surgery

Our Wellbeing Advisors are now available for appointments at Southgate Medical Centre and Langley Corner Surgery. Which gives the opportunity for GP's and nurses to refer directly to us. If you are a member of these surgeries please give them a call to book in for a Wellbeing Check with us.

We visit Southgate Medical Centre every Wednesday from 1-3:30pm and Langley Corner Surgery on the first Tuesday of every month from 1:30-3:30pm. Booking is essential.

We hope to be available in more surgeries soon.
