Now that COVID-19 restrictions have started to be removed, I must say it has been refreshing to be out and about at networking events and also on site visits advising businesses on low carbon efficiencies. The team have enjoyed representing the Green Business Programme at in-person events, including the Net Zero Festival at the Ricoh Arena and the Midlands Business EXPO at the Motorbike Museum. John Seddon, Head of Transport & Innovation took to the stage at the Net Zero Festival to explain how to overcome the hurdles of reducing carbon emissions. Watch John in action.
We are also excited to announce that we are now able to offer in person, on-site energy and environmental audits, as well as continue with remote energy audits. Email greenbusiness@coventry.gov.uk to organise an energy audit at your premises and to discuss various funding opportunities.
As ever, please stay safe and follow all the government guidelines as you continue to reconnect with more people. Please make sure you visit the Coronavirus pages of the Council website to see what you can and cannot do as well as find out details around funding support that is available for businesses.
To keep up to date with our latest initiatives and news, don't forget to follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn.
We hope you enjoy this month's update and remember to continue to act carefully! 💚
