The Let's Rent scheme matches people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness with landlords who have properties to let. This scheme guarantees the payment of up to five weeks rent as a tenancy deposit. This is a free service for landlords.

- New legislation came into force on 1 June 2020 and applies to England only.
- Imposes a duty on landlords to ensure that the electrical safety standards are met in private rented accommodation.
- Ensure that every electrical instillation in the residential premises is inspected and tested at regular intervals by a qualified electrician.
Where a report requires the landlord to undertake further investigative or remedial work then this must be carried out within 28 days or the period specified in the report if less than 28 days.
