Educational materials for young people

Fire engine

We know they'll be lots of children disappointed they haven't been able to visit our stations, or for us to come and see them in school over the last few weeks. So, to make sure they don't miss out, we've put together some new resources to help keep them entertained and educated.

Head over to our website, where you'll find everything from colouring in, to tours of a fire station. We've also signposted to some other topical resources that you might find useful.

Enter our poster competition

We've launched a poster drawing competition for children across Cambridgeshire. All you need to take part is an A4 sheet of paper.

Your poster must include a firefighter, fire engine or fire station and one of the following safety messages:

Test your smoke alarms
👕Don't leave clothes near electric heaters
🔌Don't use broken electrical items
🍳👨‍🍳Don't forget about your cooking.

Once you've finished designing your poster, take a photo of it and send it to us at pressoffice@cambsfire.gov.uk or direct message us on social media.

All entries must include the entrant's name, age, parent/guardian's name and their phone number or email address. The deadline for entries is 4 May 2020. Good luck!
