Safeguarding is Everybody's Business

csab

Cumbria Safeguarding Adults Board (CSAB) and Cumbria Safeguarding Children Partnership (CSCP) today shared a reminder that safeguarding is everyone's business.  If you see something, say something and report it.

Safeguarding message from Independent Chair's

Cumbria Safeguarding Adults Board and Cumbria Safeguarding Children Partnership work closely together to ensure that safeguarding issues relating to both children and adults are dealt with appropriately and professionally by all partners across Cumbria.

As Independent Chairs of the Children’s Safeguarding Partnership and Safeguarding Adults Board, part of our role includes seeking assurance from services across Cumbria that the appropriate structures and processes are in place to support and protect children and adults who are at risk and that a professional and appropriate response is provided.

Jointly, we would like to remind people across Cumbria that if they have any concerns about abuse or neglect of a child or an adult, this includes sexual abuse or exploitation or domestic abuse to report it soon as possible.  Also, if you have been a victim of abuse or neglect please come forward and report it.  Your report will be treated in the utmost confidence and you will be treated with dignity and respect.

Abuse can take many forms, if you are concerned about a person’s safety report it.
