Safeguarding & Child Protection Working Together to Safeguard Children Level 3 (1 - 4pm)

The LSCB is running a series of half-day workshops in districts on working in partnership to manage risk. These workshops are aimed at frontline practitioners and professionals.  This course is the main learning event aimed at achieving level 3 competencies (it replaces the full one day Safeguarding level 3 course)

The aim of the workshop is to develop a common understanding of risk management and to provide support to all professionals working with children so that everyone is clear about:

  • The thresholds for access to services which support the actions needed to improve the outcomes for children;
  • Understanding of roles and responsibilities;
  • Identifying exemplars of good practice;
  • Individual responsibility when working with children, young people and families;
  • Responsibility of different agencies; and
  • The tools in place to support professionals in their role.

This is a workshop which is participatory, and your input is essential in making sure our services and interventions achieve the very best for our children and young people in Cumbria.

  • This course is suitable for those detailed in the LSCB Training Framework groups: click here
