CSE Risk Assessment Tool Workshops - Places still available

The CSE Risk Assessment Tool has been redesigned. The revised risk assessment tool separates out vulnerabilities and harms, allows for more analysis and aligns to Signs of Safety methodology, it also includes a new category of ‘Evidence or suspicion of other form(s) of exploitation e.g. drug trafficking, trafficking, modern day slavery.

The updated version of the risk assessment tool will be used from 1st September 2018; practitioners must continue to use the current tool (found at Appendix 3 of the CSE procedure) until this date. A link to the new tool will be cascaded in due course.

To support practitioners in the use of the new tool there will be a number of workshops held around the county. Those who should attend the workshops below are professionals working directly with CYP who are at risk of, or are being exploited whose role would involve the completion of the CSE assessment tool. The attendance of these practitioners will be prioritised:

3 July 2018, 12pm-1:30pm, Botcherby Community Centre, Victoria Road, Carlisle, CA1 2UE

5 July 2018, 12pm-1:30pm, Chill Out Zone, St. Gregory & St. Patrick’s School, Esk Avenue, Whitehaven, Cumbria, CA28 8AJ

10 July, 11:30am – 1pm or 1-2:30pm, Barrow Fire Station, Phoenix Road, Barrow in Furness, LA14 2NS
