Jobs with Training and GM Apprenticeship Grants - last few available

Apprentice

Great news for employers, as two grant schemes to help appoint a young person have been extended until March 2016.

The Greater Manchester Jobs with Training Grant is available until 31st March 2016, so, if you are thinking of taking on a young person aged 18 to 24 you could be eligible to receive up to £2,750 if you employ them for at least 6 months, in a full time, 30 hours or more, permanent role.

The Greater Manchester Age Grant Funding has also been extended to 31st March 2016. For local employers who haven’t taken on an apprentice in the last 12 months this is a fantastic opportunity to give a young person, aged 16 to 24 a job opportunity, offering them a chance to learn on the job, whilst as an employer you can receive at least £1,500 or up to £3,500 dependent upon the qualification level.

What do I do next?

If you feel your business may benefit from one of the remaining grants, please call
01204 336222 or email businessbolton@bolton.gov.uk.  A member of the Business Bolton team will support you with the paperwork and help you find the right member of staff through our free recruitment services.

Please note that businesses can only apply for one of the above schemes and that grants will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
