Logistics North
Logistics North

Did you know that there has been £1bn of investment from the public and private sectors into Bolton over the past few years?

£227m has already been invested in the town centre including the Innovation Zone Knowledge Campus (which houses Bolton College, Bolton Sixth Form College and the University of Bolton), Bolton One Health Leisure and Research Centre and a £4.5m redevelopment of Bolton Market.

There’s also £100 million of projects currently under construction in the town centre including the Transport Interchange; further expansion of the Innovation Zone Knowledge Campus to incorporate a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Centre (STEM) and University Technical College (UTC); the Newport Street Gateway improvement scheme; the Albert Halls and Octagon Theatre redevelopments; and the creation of a new nine screen cinema and restaurant space as part of the refurbishment of Market Place Shopping Centre.

Away from the town centre, other key developments include Logistics North - the largest warehousing distribution and employment site in Greater Manchester, delivering a 400,000 sq. m site close to Junction 4 of the M61, and Rivington Chase –a mixed use development including up to 1,700 new homes, employment areas, local shops and facilities supporting infrastructure which will create up to 1,350 new full time jobs.
