Christmas Parade

Skies light up at Pype Hayes Park for the Fireworks Spectacular on 5 November.

Join the annual Christmas Parade on 8 November as Father Christmas switches on the Christmas Lights.

The world famous Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market returns on 13 November.

Get your skates on as Ice Skate Birmingham and the big wheel open on 15 November in Centenary Square.

The Christmas Craft Market opens on 15 November in Chamberlain Square and continues through to Centenary Square .

One of the biggest events in the Indian Calendar: Celebrate Diwali on 16 November at New Bingley Hall.

SHOUT Festival, 13 - 16 November. SHOUT Festival brings an explosion of arts and culture to the city with a showcase of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender creative talent.

Meet writers Lissa Evans & Anna Hope. 13 Nov, Library of Birmingham. Free event, booking advisable. Join this special event bringing together two writers, two stories and two world wars. 

The Big Switch On – 24 November, 5.30pm Brindleyplace, Central Square. Join special guests from The REP Theatre’s Christmas production of Roald Dahl’s ‘The BFG’ at the Brindleyplace Annual Christmas light switch on.

Ikon presents a solo exhibition by Pakistani artist Imran Qureshi, Deutsche Bank’s “Artist of the Year” 2013. Including miniature paintings, site-specific installations and new works, the exhibition is Qureshi’s first major presentation in the UK.
