Back the Benjamins and Learn to Save During Houston Money Week

It's all about the Benjamins during Houston Money Week

Even Spring showers can't put a damper on money saving 'fun'damentals! Ben Franklin will take to the streets (via METRORail) on Wednesday, April 8 to kick-off Houston Money Week. The frugal Franklin hops onboard between the hours of 7 and 9 a.m. - posing for pictures, handing out "free money" (shredded currency) and promoting financial education events.

Houston Money Week (April 11-18) events are free and open to the public. Workshops focus on choosing a spending plan, understanding credit reports and first-time home-ownership. Other activities are geared to small business and presentations for young people and money.

More than 8,000 individuals took part in Houston Money Week last year. Visit www.HoustonMoneyweek.org for a detailed list of events.
