METRO Offers Free New Year's Eve Rides

At METRO getting you there safely is our mission and with that in mind the Authority is encouraging New Year's Eve revelers to take advantage of a free ride to and from the party! 

RIDE FREE beginning 6 p.m. New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) until 6 a.m. New Year’s Day (Jan. 1) on the METROBus and METRORail system.

New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2013 METROBus service includes all regular, published schedules. METRORAIL hours are extended and trains will operate until 2 a.m.

Here’s a quick reminder of METRO’s service for the New Year’s Day holiday
Wed., Jan. 1, 2014 (New Year’s Day)

  • Local bus routes and Metrorail operate a Sunday schedule.
  • No Park & Ride bus service.
  • Customer Care Center will be closed.
  • RideStore and Lost & Found will be closed.
