METRO BLUE SANTA MAKES SPECIAL DELIVERY

CHRISTMAS ARRIVES EARLY FOR 200 YOUNG PATIENTS

METRO’s Blue Santa and elves will be making a special visit to Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.

It’s a stop they’ve made every year for the past four years with the mission of lifting the spirits of young patients during the holidays.

WHERE: Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, 6411 Fannin, 10th floor

WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The celebration will be held in the 10th floor lobby where children will have the opportunity to sit on Blue Santa’s lap and take a photo. Each child will get a teddy bear, crayons and activity book. The children will also receive kid police badges from METRO police officers, and enjoy cookies and punch.

Blue Santa, elves and officers will make room visits and deliver gifts to the children who cannot join the lobby gathering.

METRO’s Blue Santa – a 501c (3) charity - was created in 2010 by the METRO Police Department specifically to bring a little holiday magic and joy to the young patients of Children’s Memorial Hermann hospital.
