WHAT: Members of Houston's news media are invited to witness the launch of METRO's new "Q Mobile Ticketing" smartphone app. The event will highlight technology that is transforming public transportation.

METRO's brand new Q Mobile Ticketing is now in the house! This newest mobile app gives customers the convenience they want for buying and presenting fares securely - from their mobile phones - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Once riders download Q Mobile Ticketing, they can pay by debit,
credit card or PayPal. As soon as payment is authorized the ticket(s) is downloaded
onto the smartphone and can be activated immediately. Tickets may also be stored for future use. The ticket is valid for three hours once activated and covers free transfers in all directions. The
app may be used on local bus and rail only at this time.
