Revisions to METRO Service Schedules for New Year’s Eve and Day

The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) is the region’s largest public transit provider, offering safe, reliable and affordable transportation services about 370,000 times per day. Come on and Take a Free Ride: Leave the Driving to METRO on New Year's Eve

METRO is offering free rides to revelers starting at 6 p.m. New Year's Eve.

METRO's local bus service for New Year's Eve, Thursday, Dec. 31., 2015, will follow regular weekday published schedules.

METRORail will run more hours on New Year's Eve and follow a Friday schedule on all three lines.

Red Line:

Northbound from Fannin South to Northline/HCC - Last train departs 1:40 a.m.
Southbound from Northline/HCC to Fannin South - Last train departs 2:45 a.m.

Green Line

Eastbound Theater District Station to Altic Howard Hughes Station - Last train departs 3:04 a.m.
Westbound Altic/Howard Hughes Station to Theater District Station - Last train departs 1:50 a.m.

Purple Line

Eastbound Theater District Station to Palm Center Transit Center - Last train departs 2:08 a.m.
Westbound Palm Center Transit Center to Theater District Station - Last train departs 2:23 a.m.

METRO service schedule for New Year's Day, Friday, Jan. 1, 2016:

METRORail will operate on a Saturday schedule.
Local bus service will operate on a Sunday schedule.
No Park & Ride service.
Customer Care Center will be closed.
METRO's RideStore and Lost & Found will also be closed.
